Another successful Job & Apprenticeships Fair took place in Warrington on Friday 20th January, 2017.
For too long, apprenticeships have been considered a poor substitute for University or College but that is now changing – and rightly so.
Being an apprentice means that you are literally learning on the job – as well as in the classroom. That means you are not only learning the theory, but the soft skills that employers really value, like teamwork, cooperation and time management.
Best of all, unlike with a University degree, apprentices get paid! And they generally end up being offered a permanent job with the company which trained them.
I’m determined to promote apprenticeships in Warrington which is why I organised for a new set of organisations to offer apprenticeships at all levels.
